community just set the stage for a game-changer, unanimously backing a liquidity move to forge the Floki exchange-traded product (ETP).

It’s a sharp pivot from meme to mainstream, a play that could make Floki a top meme in 2025.

What Is the Floki Inu ETP?

By early 2025, Floki will break a new barrier, rolling out its ETP on Switzerland’s SIX Swiss Exchange—Europe’s third-largest market player. For traditional investors, this means a controlled entry point to gamble on a meme coin without owning it outright (kinda like a singular version of a meme coin ETF).

Dogecoin got there first in 2024, sure, but Floki now joins the rare club of crypto tokens playing nice with the rules. Akin to stock market ETFs, this ETP offers amateurs and institutions an easy, regulated way into the volatile memecoin scene.

2024 witnessed meme coins gaining unprecedented traction, with the category emerging as the second-best performing crypto narrative, according to CoinGecko. Floki is leveraging this momentum, standing out by achieving milestones often reserved for utility-focused blockchain applications.

The fuel behind Floki’s ETP push lies in its hefty community buyback wallet, stocked with over 16.3 billion FLOKI tokens.

With the DAO’s blessing, a chunk of this stash will bankroll the ETP, while the rest goes up in digital smoke—burned to tighten supply and, in theory, boost value long-term. A Floki rep underscored the gravity of the decision, calling it a pivotal moment for the token’s future.

“The Floki ETP will be going live on the SIX Swiss Exchange, which is the largest stock exchange in Switzerland, and the third largest stock exchange in Europe, in an almost unprecedented move for memecoin legitimacy.”

Are ETP Offerings Strengthening Meme Coin Legitimacy?

The ETP isn’t Floki’s only chess piece in play. The brand’s recent wins include a regulatory nod and new projects that fortify its standing in an overcrowded crypto market. Case in point—last November, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) slapped Floki with an official utility token designation.

It’s now in the same weight class as Ethereum and Avalanche, which positions the token as a contender in shaping tomorrow’s digital asset rulebook.

Additionally, Valhalla, Floki’s NFT-based metaverse game, is set to launch in early 2025.

The Floki ETP launch in 2025 represents a significant step for meme coins and decentralized finance. By targeting traditional financial markets, Floki is paving the way for broader acceptance of such tokens and creating opportunities for regulated investments.

If successful, Floki could inspire other meme coins to follow suit.
