RailTel shares surged 10% intraday after securing a Rs 25 crore order from Hindustan Petroleum. The stock traded at Rs 326.10 with a 5.28% gain. RailTel declared a 10% interim dividend for FY2024-25.
RailTel shares surge 10% on Monday
RailTel Share Price: Shares of RailTel Corporation of India (RailTel) jumped 10 per cent during the intraday on Monday. The surge came after the railway PSU secured an order worth Rs 25 crore from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. The scrip was trading at Rs 326.10 apiece with a gain of 5.28 per cent around 11:00 AM. Earlier, it opened at Rs 320 apiece against the previous day’s close at Rs 309.75 apiece. The stock’s 52-week movement indicates a high of Rs 618 and a low of Rs 265.30.
“this is to inform that RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (“the Company”) has received the work order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited for amounting to Rs. 25,15,24,500/- (excluding Tax),” RailTel said in the filing dated March 23.
RailTel Dividend 2025
Earlier RailTel declared the 2nd interim dividend at the rate of 10 per cent for the FY2024-25. In the filing, the company said the board approved the dividend proposal in the meeting to be held today, March 12, 2025.
RailTel said that the Board of Directors has also approved Wednesday, 02nd April 2025 as “Record Date” for the purpose of payment of the 2nd interim dividend of FY 2024-25.
RailTel said that the date of payment/ dispatch of the dividend warrant will be 9th April 2025.
RailTel Q3FY25 Results
In Q3FY25, RailTel posted a 5 percent year-on-year rise in net profit, reaching Rs 65 crore. Revenue climbed 15 percent YoY to Rs 768 crore. However, EBITDA declined 6.6 percent YoY to Rs 121 crore, down from Rs 129.7 crore in the year-ago period. This led to an EBITDA margin contraction to 15.8 percent from 19.4 percent in Q3FY24.
Despite its recent movements, analyst coverage on RailTel remains sparse. Both ICICI Securities and Investec have a “sell” recommendation on the stock.
