Donald Trump’s official meme coin $TRUMP on Wednesday surged over 30 per cent, while his wife Melania Trump’s coin #MELANIA jumped more than 10 per cent. It comes a day after prices of Trump and Melania official meme coins crashed over at least 50 per cent.
According to binance.com, #TRUMP was trading at higher by 31.2 per cent at $42.69 at around 10:50 am. Also, according to crypto platform CoinGecko, rival #MELANIA coin was trading up by 5.18 per cent at $4.08.

Soon after the launch on Friday on January 17, the price of “official” Trump memecoin #TRUMP surged and placed the memecoin in the top-20 cryptos by market capitalisation with the total valuation of $14 billion.
However, a day later, when his wife Melania Trump’s rival cryptocurrency $MELANIA was launched on January 20, $TRUMP tumbled nearly 40 per cent to $44.82 from $74.06 in less than 24 hours of the Melania coin launch.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, is currently trading within a consolidation range of $100,000 to $107,000 after hitting its all-time high of $109,000 on Monday.

The positive reaction is caused by the weakening of the dollar index and the pro-business economic agenda of Trump.
“Other factors like the SEC announcing a new crypto task force and Bank of America CEO’s statement about the world making crypto payments if clarity in regulations are provided. Meanwhile, Dogecoin has taken the spotlight with an excellent spike since the launch of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) official website on January 21. The fact that the agency shares the same acronym as the cryptocurrency has underpinned retail investors who view it as a significant growth opportunity for Dogecoin,” Shekhar added.
He added Dogecoin is trading above $0.37 with the news, reflecting rare momentum in the market that represents how community-led cryptocurrencies are beginning to play in shaping the development of the digital asset space.
