Indian benchmark indices extended their gains on Tuesday, following Monday’s momentum. The Sensex surged 900 points, while the Nifty traded above 22,750. Financials and metals led the rally, with all sectors in the green. Optimism in Indian equities was fueled by global cues, domestic tailwinds, and technical resilience.

By 11:38 AM, the BSE Sensex had risen 908 points (1.22%) to 75,078, while the NSE Nifty gained 267 points (1.19%) to 22,776.

Investors are eyeing key policy decisions this week from the US Federal Reserve, Bank of Japan, and Bank of England, all expected to hold interest rates steady.

In the meantime, the total market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies surged by Rs 4.03 lakh crore, reaching Rs 397.20 lakh crore on Tuesday.
