Blake Lively’s brother-in-law issues shocking apology to Justin Baldoni

Bart Johnson took jabs at ‘frauds’ with a ‘man bun’ in a since-deleted post in December

Blake Lively’s brother-in-law has issued an apology amid her ongoing legal battle with her It Ends With Us costar, Justin Baldoni.

The High School Musical alum, 54, took to X on Wednesday, January 29, to apologise for any “unkind” remarks he may have made in the past.

Johnson reflected on his approach, saying, “Anytime I’ve said anything unkind about someone, I’ve regretted it. … Even if I’m trying to speak truth or stand up for someone, it’s never good. There’s a better way.”

He added that negativity was “below the standard” he holds himself to and vowed to do better.

Though he did not address Baldoni by name, Johnson’s apology came after a follower questioned whether he had deleted his past tweets seemingly slamming Baldoni due to Lively and Ryan Reynolds being “exposed as liars” in their ongoing legal dispute.

For reference, the since-deleted tweet in question was made by Johnson on December 24, in which he seemingly slammed Baldoni without naming him, calling the person a “fraud” with a “man bun.”

Johnson pushed back, saying, “My [past] comment wasn’t for any individual. Never said a name.” Instead, he claimed his words were directed at a certain “type” of person he finds “performative and disingenuous” online.

However, the descriptors he used in his tweets, along with referring to a “podcast,” paint a different story.

Though Johnson had previously defended Lively — who accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment — his latest remarks appear to shift focus toward self-reflection.

“We all have flaws and I’m definitely a work in progress,” he wrote. “Sending ALL my love to ALL of you.”
