Dolly Patron criticizes Sabrina Carpenter’s talk: ‘a little bad’

Sabrina Carpenter agreed to follow a specific rule before working with Dolly Patron

Dolly Patron condemned Sabrina Carpenter’s conversation style before she signed up to collaborate with her.

In a candid chat with Knox News, the Island in the Stream singer praised the Espresso hitmaker but couldn’t help but throw some shade, saying her speech “talk a little bad now and then” a far cry from Patron’s polished style.

Patron, who collaborated with Carpenter for the remix of Please, Please, Please, shared the reason of why the word “m—erf—er” was scratched from the chorus of the song

“I told her, I said, ‘Now, I don’t cuss,'” said the 9 to 5 crooner. “‘I don’t make fun of Jesus. I don’t talk bad about God, and I don’t say dirty words on camera, but known to if I get mad enough.'”

The rendition was released on February 14th, as part of the deluxe addition of her album Short n’ Sweet.

She released the album after winning Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n’ Sweet.

On the release day, the Feather singer shared a preview of the music video on her Instagram with a caption, “Dolly and me singing in a pickup truck!!!!!! I am so honored to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me. ‘Short n’ Sweet‘ deluxe is out now! Go watch and listen!!!! Love you forever @dollyparton [white heart and butterfly].”

However, Carpenter is currently busy supporting her album on the Short n’ Sweet World Tour which is playing across Europe from March to July 2025. She will return to America in fall with final show in November 2025 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
