Ron Howard reveals surprising way that could get him to return to acting

Ron Howard, the Oscar-winning filmmaker, has revealed that he would consider returning to acting, but only for a special project.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Howard shared that his daughter, actress and director Bryce Dallas Howard, could persuade him to step back in front of the camera.

“I think that if my daughter Bryce cast me in something, that would compel me to put down the directing obligation, put them on hold for a minute and show up,” he said.

However, the actor emphasized that his directing career takes priority, and he has a full schedule with his company Imagine Entertainment.

Howard, who began his career as an actor on The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days, has mostly made cameo appearances and voice roles in recent years. Despite this, he expressed his passion for filmmaking, stating that it’s been “such a fascinating way of life.”

“In the last decade, I’ve begun working on documentaries as well as scripted films, and I really love both,” he said.

“I think both disciplines are kind of informing each other in interesting ways, and it’s stimulating some growth for me creatively, which is exciting at this point in my life.”
